Courvoisier is a brand of cognac founded in 1809 by Emmanuel Courvoisier and Louis Gallois ( then the mayor of Bercy) in the French suburb of Bercy.
It is crafted with blends heralding from the Fins Bois and Petite Champagne crus, the delicate ripened fruit, fresh oak and spring floral through skillful distillation and aging.
Once called the “cognac of Napoleon” by English sailors who sailed with the French warlord to St Helena. Napoleon’s heir himself honoured the Courvoisier with the title “Official Supplier to the Imperial Court”.
Within its 200-year history, the cognac brand has grown to become one of the leading cognacs in the world>
