It’s Easter again, and we are sure to have the crucifixion stories retold, along with chocolate eggs, brunches and Easter cocktails.

From Good Friday to Easter Monday, as you get immersed in the Easter season, do well to pleasure your palate with some amazing Easter-themed cocktails, because having a cocktail adds more fun to the holidays.

Here are some of the best Easter cocktails you can make…

Buzzed Bunny Easter Cocktail

This more or less the real juice and gin combo. In goes carrot juice, pineapple juice, grated ginger, lemon juice, and gin and there you have your bunny cocktail.

What you need

  • 1 small piece of finely grated ginger root
  • 1 oz. pineapple juice
  • 3 oz fresh carrot juice
  • Half Lemon – Juiced
  • 1.5 oz Gordon’s Gin
  • Mint sprig

How to Make

  • Prepare cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Grate ginger directly into cocktail shaker.
  • Add pineapple juice, carrot juice, lemon juice and gin.
  • Shake cocktail shaker vigorously. Strain into over ice into cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with lemon slice and fresh mint sprig.

Brunch Punch

The brunch punch is a sure way to add fun to your Sun-day.

What you need

  • Ice
  • 2 L sprite
  • 2 c. orange juice
  • 2 c. pineapple juice
  • 2 c. Absolut Vodka
  • 1 bottle Martini Prosecco
  • 2 c. Strawberries, sliced
  • 2 c. Raspberries
  • 1 c. Fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
  • Sanding sugars, for rims

How to make

  • Add ice, Sprite, orange juice, pineapple juice, vodka, Prosecco, strawberries, raspberries and mint leaves in a large punch bowl and stir to combine.
  • Apply fresh strawberry to the rims of cocktail glasses and coat rims with sanding sugar. Pour punch into glasses and garnish with more mint.

Raspberry Beer Cocktail

Sometimes beer can be so beautiful. Some of those times, it just has to be mixed with Raspberry.

What you need

  • 3/4 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 3 1/2 (12-oz.) bottles beer, chilled
  • 1 (12-oz.) container frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 1/2 cup Smirnoff Vodka
  • Garnish: lemon and lime slices

How to make

  • Stir together ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Serve over ice.
  • Garnish with lemon and lime slices, if desired.
  • Note: To make ahead, stir together lemonade concentrate and vodka in a large container. Chill up to 3 days. Stir in raspberries and beer just before serving.

Speckled Egg Easter Mimosas

This easy and breezy Easter cocktail tastes as much as it sounds.

What you need

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. water
  • 8 blackberries
  • 1 bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne
  • 1 bag of speckled egg candies
  • 1 handful of edible flowers for garnish (optional)

How to make

  • To make the syrup, bring the water to a boil and add sugar. Add the black berries as soon as sugar begins to dissolve and muddle to break them up and release the colour. Allow to simmer for 3-5 minutes then remove from heat.
  • Once cool, drain the syrup into a glass pitcher through a strainer.
  • To mix the mimosas, place three speckled eggs in the bottom of each glass.  Top each glass with about 2 ounces (or one shot) of blackberry simple syrup.  Fill the remaining portion of the glass with champagne and then garnish with edible flowers, if desired.

Blood Orange-Blackberry Sangria

When you think of the Christian story of Easter, then you won’t mind sipping a little of this blood-coloured drink for the ‘salvation’ of your taste buds.

What you need

  • 2 Cups sliced Strawberries
  • 3 cups Blackberries
  • 3 Blood Oranges, cut into wedges
  • 1 Lemon, cut into 8 wedges
  • 1 Lime, cut into 8 wedges
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Bardinet Triple Sec
  • 2 cups Sparkling Apple Cider
  • 2 (750ml) bottles of Louis Guntrum Red Wine

How to make

  • Toss in all of the strawberries, blackberries, oranges, lemon, lime, and cinnamon sticks in a large pitcher.
  • Pour in the sugar followed by the triple sec, sparkling apple cider, and red wine. Stir a few times until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
  • Place it in the fridge 4-8 hours before serving.
