Mojito Cocktail Variations to Brighten Your Day

The Mojito is one of the most popular cocktails in the world. It is simple and delicious, however there are so many ways you can have a Mojito. Try out the recipes below, and have fun with them!

1. Classic Mojito

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 parts white rum
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar syrup
  • 1½ parts lime juice
  • 3 parts club soda
  • 6 pieces mint leaves
  • crushed ice

HOW TO MIX

  • add sugar and mint leaves to the collins glass
  • pour lime juice into the glass
  • crush lime juice, sugar and mint leaves with muddler
  • fill up the glass with crushed ice
  • pour white rum into the glass
  • fill up the glass with club soda
  • garnish with mint leaves, lime wedges

2. Watermelon Mojito

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 pieces mint leaves
  • ½ parts watermelon
  • 1 part sugar syrup
  • 2¼ parts white rum
  • 1 part lime juice
  • 2¼ parts club soda
  • ice

HOW TO MIX

  • add watermelon, sugar syrup, mint leaves to the shaker
  • crush watermelon, sugar syrup, mint leaves with muddler
  • add ice cubes to the shaker
  • add white rum and lime juice to the shaker
  • shake well
  • fill up the collins glass with crushed ice
  • strain into the glass
  • fill up the glass with club soda
  • garnish with lime wedge

3. Campari Mojito

INGREDIENTS

  • mint leaves
  • 1 part lime juice
  • 1 part white rum
  • 2 parts campari
  • 3 parts tonic
  • 2 pieces lime wedges
  • ice cubes
  • crushed ice

HOW TO MIX

  • add lime wedge and mint leaves to the shaker
  • add white rum and lime juice to the shaker
  • crush lime wedge, white rum, mint leaves and lime juice with muddler
  • add ice cubes and campari to the shaker
  • shake well
  • fill up the collins glass with ice
  • strain into the glass
  • fill up the glass with tonic, lime wedges and mint leaves

 

4. Strawberry Mojito

INGREDIENTS

  • 1½ parts white rum
  • 1½ parts strawberry liqueur
  • 1 part sugar syrup
  • 1 part lime juice
  • 3 parts club soda
  • 4 pieces mint leaves
  • ice cubes

HOW TO MIX

  • add sugar syrup and mint leaves to the collins glass
  • crush sugar syrup and mint leaves with muddler
  • fill up the glass with ice
  • pour lime juice, strawberry liqueur and white rum into the glass
  • fill up the glass with club soda
  • stir together
  • garnish with strawberries lime wedges

Want to have some cocktail fun at home all by yourself? There’s no need to break the bank or muddle recipes up. Here are 7  simple do-it-yourself cocktails that are easy to prepare and serve to your guests.

Classic Mojito

Ingredients:

  • Captain Morgan White Rum (50 ml)
  • (1 dash) Soda Water
  • (2 tsps.) Caster Sugar
  • 2 Lime Wedges
  • 1 Mint Sprig
  • Crushed ice

Process:

  1. In a mixing glass, mix caster sugar and lime wedges together using a pestle or a large spoon to extract lime flavour and aroma.
  2. Mash about 12 leaves from the mint sprigs together with the lime and sugar.
  3. Add crushed ice to about three-fourths of the glass.
  4. Pour the rum and dash of soda.
  5. Use a spoon to stir the drink thoroughly.
  6. Garnish with a few crushed mint leaves and add crushed ice. Serve cold.

 

Sex on the Beach

Ingredients:

  1. 9 ml  Schnapps
  2. 35 ml Smirnoff Vodka
  3. 35 ml Orange Juice
  4. 35 ml Cranberry Juice

Process:

  1. Fill a tall 12-ounce glass with ice cubes.
  2. Add in all ingredients together and use a jigger to measure them correctly.

 

Johnnie Walker Red Label & Soda

Ingredients:

  1. 50 ml Johnnie Walker Red Label Blended Scotch Whiskey
  2. 125 ml Soda Water
  3. 2 Orange or Lime Wedges

Process:

  1. Fill ice cubes on a tall glass.
  2. Add Johnnie Walker Red Label and soda water using a jigger.
  3. Garnish with either orange or lime wedges.

 

Super Simple Summer Punch

 

Ingredients:

  1. 50 ml Smirnoff Vodka
  2. 4 Slices of Orange
  3. 4 Pieces of Raspberries
  4. 100 ml Cranberry Juice
  5. 100 ml Mango Juice
  6. 50 ml Soda Water

Process:

  1. In a glass full of ice, pour in vodka, add in the orange slices and raspberries and stir the mixture using a wooden spoon to blend the flavors.
  2. Pour the mango and cranberry juice followed by soda water and continue stirring to infuse the mixture.

 

Gin and Tonic

Ingredients:

  1. 25 ml Gordon’s London Dry Gin
  2. 125 ml Tonic Water
  3. 10 ml Lime Juice
  4. 2 Lime or Lemon Wedges

Process:

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, measure gin, tonic water and lime juice using a jigger and then pour into the glass.
  2. Place the lime or lemon wedge in your cocktail drink for some garnishing.

 

Rum and Cola

Ingredients:

  1. 50 ml Captain Morgan White Rum
  2. 125 ml Cola
  3. 1 Lime Wedge

Process:

  1. Fill your glass or jar with cubes of ice.
  2. Use a jigger to measure and pour the rum and cola into your glass of ice.
  3. Add lime wedge to garnish.

 

Vodka Tonic

Ingredients:

  1. 50 ml Smirnoff Vodka
  2. 125 ml Tonic Water
  3. 1 Lime Wedge

Process:

  1. Pour vodka and tonic water using a jigger for correct measurement into a glass filled with ice.
  2. Place the lime wedge on the drink, squeeze a bit and serve.
