  • Sandeman Ruby Porto Carton (x6)

    20,390

Originating from the fiery Ruby Porto wines shipped by George Sandeman in 1790, Sandeman Ruby Porto is still made traditionally to be rich and robust, yet with a special depth of flavour and the finesse, achieved by expertly blending wines from Sandeman’s large and varied stock.
Brilliant red ruby in colour, with clean aromas of red fruits, plums and strawberries, Sandeman Ruby Porto has full rich flavours and is very well-balanced. Traditionally matched with full-flavoured and creamy cheeses, Sandeman Ruby Porto pairs well with chocolate desserts, strawberries or berries and fruit pies. This wine does not require decanting. Serve in a large glass. Sandeman Ruby Porto can be served slightly chilled, as a “hot Porto” (served at round 50°C) or with a splash of soda. Once open, Sandeman Ruby can remain fresh for up to four weeks.

  • Sandeman Tawny Porto Carton (x6)

    20,390

Sandeman Tawny Porto is chosen from the lighter wines of the year for ageing in small oak casks to develop its style. It has the fruit and style of great Porto, but with added finesse. Clear amber-coloured with a light intense body, this wine opens up to aromas of vanilla and evolved dried fruits. The elegant harmony and fresh flavour of red fruits unfold in the mouth and combine with the complexity of wood ageing. This has a good finish evoking raisins and tender hazelnuts flavour.
Sandeman Tawny Porto pairs well with any dessert having caramel, such as crême brulée or tarte tatin, or even strong blue cheeses like Roquefort. To be more daring, match with foie gras or a creamy seafood vol-au-vent. Once open, Sandeman Tawny can remain fresh for up to 4-8 weeks.
