The Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) will on Friday, the 16th of December stage Dike Chukwumerije’s ‘MADE IN NIGERIA’ on their Friday Nite Live.
Encomiums over the success of the ensemble when it was staged in Abuja in October as an Independence Day concept.
‘MADE IN NIGERIA’ is a ensemble of theatre, comedy and spoken word, brought to live on stage through gripping performances.
Respected poet, Dike Chukwumerije, put together this play to commemorate the Nigeria’s 56th Independence anniversary. The 120-minute performance is a theatrical masterpiece with 20 theatrical poems, thematically linked and seamlessly connected by narration, music, dance and drama.
Speaking about the performance, Chukwumerijie said, “It is History, but it will not bore you. It is Drama, but will you notice? It is Music…The sort that will have you singing. It is Fashion, like a thread running through the tapestry. It is Art. It is Dancing. It is the imaginative use of Space and Time. It is 102 years of Shared Stories, and at the end you will not believe you just heard it told through 20 poems, in 120 minutes, on one stage, in one night. This is what MADE IN NIGERIA is”.
Entry ticket is set at N4,000 for Adults, N2000 for children/Students with ID card, and are available on naijaticketshop.com as well as at the entry to the event.
