Jameson Releases Jameson Cooper’s Croze
Brown spirits are all the rage and Irish whiskey is blazing hot at the moment. After many years of being relegated to the background, the drink is now soaring as sales have spiked incredibly.
In the last ten years there has been a six fold increase in volume, while 2015 saw a year-on-year growth of 16% in volume and 20% in revenue, according to the Distilled Spirits Council of the US.
Jameson has led the boom in whiskey. The brand has had a sales increase tenfold between 1988 to 2014. Most of Jameson sales, at least by volume can be attributed to Jameson Irish Whiskey.
It’s a blended whiskey that celebrates the craft of Midleton Distillery’s Head Cooper, Ger Buckley. Whiskey gets almost all its flavor and color from the barrels it ages in so the man who builds and maintains the barrels, the cooper, is essential to the process.
