Whisky Sour | www.drinks.ng

There are two sides to life they say, the good and the bad. Same applies for cocktails, there is the sweet and the sour – and Whisky sour offers the best of both worlds.

Infamous for its not-so-common combination of lemon juice and sugar, the drink has been ever present in bars across the world since it was invented.

Unlike most other cocktails, the story of whisky sour is pretty direct and has no controversies or fairytales attached to it.

The first reference to the drink was published in the Wisconsin newspaper, Waukesha Plain Dealer, in 1870.

In 1962, Universidad del Cuyo published a story that credited a man named Elliott Stubb for creating the Whiskey Sour back in 1872. This information was gathered from a Peruvian newspaper that was published by Modesto Molina.

So that is like over a 100 years of existence for the Whisky Sour, and you can bet that drink to be good enough.
