August 26th 2016 – Lanre Akinlagun, CEO of drinks.ng Nigeria’s first online drink store, launches first in-house bar in partnership with the Fimhouse IMAX cinema. Drinks.ng provides premiuim drinks to customers at the best prices. The company whose mission is to be a one stop shop that provides the best drinks and saves consumers stress, recently launched its 24/7 delivery service to Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi and environs. This move closely followed by the opening of an in-house bar reflects the company’s commitment to thoroughly satisfying consumer needs.
The in-house bar is a first of its kind luxury bar with premium drinks and excellent customer service. It is the company’s first venture into setting up an in-house bar and is in line with the company’s vision for expansion.
A forward looking entrepreneur, Lanre created drinks.ng after seeing the great opportunity that existed in the market and resolved to provide drinks to consumers conveniently. ‘I saw that the retail space in Nigeria was infant, whether it was consumer goods, groceries, but especially for drinks. There was such a big problem of people being worried about buying fake or original drinks. So I thought I’d set up a trusted brand that people can connect with and here we are.’ Like Lanre, millions of people face challenges in sourcing for drinks and drinks.ng hopes to further reduce this problem by opening a bar where people can buy and enjoy drinks.
Drinks.ng is revolutionalizing the beverage industry and has partnered with several big brands on different projects. This project is sponsored by Pernod Ricard, producers of Martell Cognac. ‘We want to build warehouse stores. We want to take over the trade in the next 10 years. We want to expand to rural areas. Ultimately, we’d love our online platform to grow. We also look to expand across West Africa. But for now, the plan is to take over Lagos.’ – Lanre
