No! I did not say you should take a bath in it like Marilyn Monroe. Instead, take a walk to the kitchen and see your sparkling bubbles become tasty flavours for your meals.

  • Fried Chicken with Peas and Champagne

Your leftover champagne is always useful flavouring for your chicken drumsticks or wings before frying – it simply needs soaking it in the sparkling wine.

Let the chicken be kindly escorted with green peas, as you savour the special deep taste that champagne brings to your tongue.

  • Sweet Potatoes and Champagne

Sweet potatoes are already a darling when just fried and eaten with stew or a special onions sauce.

Now imagine all that sweetness drenched in champagne before it hits the frying pan. The flavour just comes out different, enticing and memorable.

Remember to stir the rice while cooking till the champagne is completely absorbed – and add a new cup of champagne after the previous has been absorbed into the rice.
