Baron Philippe Pauillac Chateau Mouton Rothschild is classic Mouton with intense cabernet sauvignon (88%) blackcurrant flavour, and lovely vital freshness. It is very long and classy wine. As with any wine from Chateau Mouton Rothschild, this is quality.
The history of the Chateau Mouton Rothschild can be traced back to 1853, when Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild bought Chateau Brane-Mouton at auction so he could serve prestigious guests his own wine. The estate at Pauillac in the heart of the Medoc took up the name Chateau Mouton Rothschild from that point on. Today, the business is still being managed successfully by the family.
