The Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or gives off a sweet and spicy character after a 12-year aging period in Sauternes casks . It has a rich fruity flavour laced with tantalising spices of coconut and nutmeg. The Glenmorangie Distillery is located in the far North of Scotland, beside the ancient Royal Burgh of Tain. Established in 1843, Glenmorangie is still perfected by the Sixteen Men of Tain today. In the Gaelic language, Glenmorangie means “valley of tranquility”. It defines the distillery’s peaceful setting on the banks of the picturesque Dornoch Firth.
The Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or is rich on the nose with notes of ginger, nutmeg, lemon, meringue and honeycomb. There is also an exciting scent of citrus, light raisins and fresh grapes along with the freshness of hazelnuts. On the palate, ginger, nutmeg and toasted almonds produce a deep, warming taste interwoven with syrupy lemon meringue and honeycomb middle. The finish is long and lusciously sweet with lemon zest, white chocolate, vanilla and traces of ginger and nutmeg.
