The Glenlivet 15 Year Old has an intense gold color, it is fruity and nutty on the palate, and rich, buttery, and creamy on the nose. It also has a spice and sweet almond protracted finish with a peppery note.

Glenlivet 15 Year Old is finished in Limousin French Oak casks (this is a common choice for the maturation of cognac), which provides it with notes of sweet spice, fruit, and almonds.

Malt whiskey is typically prepared from barley which has a specific attraction with the malting process. In the modern whiskey Scottish industry, barley is the most easily available grain. The barley is soaked in water, turned, and dried in a kiln which stops germination and releases the starch in the grain.

Speyside in the northeastern corner of Scotland is a region well known for the production of whiskey and the name of the region is got from the Spey River that runs through it. The water in Speyside is pure and soft which makes it perfect for whiskey production.
