Specifically created for mixologists and bartenders, Veuve Clicquot Rich gives the champagne lover the rare opportunity to doctor taste to preference. It is a versatile champagne that expresses the perfect balance of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. Since its inception, Veuve Clicquot has been a specialist in Champagnes based on Pinot Noir, especially Rosé. Philippe Clicquot founded the House in 1772. In 1803, François Clicquot married Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin. Madame Clicquot was widowed just two years later. Veuve Clicquot (Veuve means widow in French) took over her husband’s business and in 1810, and the house took the name Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin. The way Madame Clicquot ran the company, from risky overseas ventures to startling technological innovations, changed Champagne forever. Her motto “Only one quality, the finest,” is still the guiding principle of the company.
It highlights fresh, fruity and gourmand scents with citrus and floral notes found on the palate. The finish is a balanced flow of unique freshness and creamy expressions.
